Clark County recently hosted a Small Business Expo where owners had the opportunity to highlights their goods and services. Additionally, the County operates the Small Business Opportunity Program (SBOP), designed to assist small business owners who want to increase their capacity to compete for contracts. SBOP is offered free of charge to all enrolled participants and registration is required. Small business owners who wish to enroll may contact Royal Alexander in the County's Purchasing and Contracts Division at (702) 455-8547 or email@example.com. Small business owners who sign up for SBOP receive professional guidance and support as they build capacity to compete for contracts through a combination of classroom sessions, mentoring, coaching and County relationship-building activities. Small business participants gain access to contract opportunities for local government, college universities and some private agencies. To qualify for the SBOP program, a small firm must offer goods or services the County would purchase, hold a valid Nevada State business license, a Nevada State Contractors license (if required), willing to dedicate four months for a once per week training.
